The Maryland Department of Health’s (MDH) Office of Population Health Improvement

(OPHI) strategically selected Medical Revenue Cycle Specialists (MRCS) for the development and maintenance to the State’s Local Health Department’s (LHD) Billing Manual and Revenue Cycle Management advisory support.

By providing updates to the Manual, OPHI is seeking to strengthen the LHDs’ internal operations and ensure efficient billing processes. The LHDs may connect with the MRCS team to receive guidance on resolving complex billing scenarios, interpreting insurance payment guidelines and collecting key information for optimal health care services.
