Medical Revenue Cycle Specialists has been tapped to provide Billing & Coding technical support for Maryland’s Local Health Departments
The Maryland Department of Health’s (MDH) Office of Population Health Improvement
(OPHI) strategically selected Medical Revenue Cycle Specialists (MRCS) for the development and maintenance to the State’s Local Health Department’s (LHD) Billing Manual and Revenue Cycle Management advisory support.
By providing updates to the Manual, OPHI is seeking to strengthen the LHDs’ internal operations and ensure efficient billing processes. The LHDs also receive custom training programs designed to highlight revenue cycle and regulatory best practices. The LHDs may connect with the MRCS team to receive guidance on resolving complex billing scenarios, interpreting insurance payment guidelines and collecting key information for optimal health care services.
The LHD Billing Manual serves as a technical resource that LHDs will leverage for implementing and/or expanding their medical billing infrastructure.
