This summer, Medical Revenue Cycle Specialists (MRCS) welcomed Kamarre Lawrence as a Project Coordinator & Summer Intern, providing him with the opportunity to gain firsthand experience while supporting projects across the organization.
Kamarre attends Hood College, where he is studying Business Administration with a concentration in Finance. He is also one class away from completing a minor in Economics.
He was interested in interning with MRCS because of the company's mission and the role it plays in helping clients receive medical care. Throughout the summer, he supported the team by creating spreadsheets and assisting with projects, work that allowed him to contribute while developing practical business skills.
One of the biggest takeaways from his internship was gaining a better understanding of the healthcare revenue cycle. Through his experience at MRCS, Kamarre learned how medical and dental visits are billed and how insurance policies influence the reimbursement process for healthcare providers.
Looking ahead, Kamarre plans to obtain his Financial Advisor License and pursue a career in finance.
MRCS is proud to support students through meaningful internship experiences that provide real-world exposure, professional development, and opportunities to contribute to projects that make a difference. We appreciate Kamarre's hard work throughout the summer and wish him continued success as he works toward his future career goals.
