Completing the curriculum will prepare current and aspiring medical office managers to lead their teams and pass the Certified Medical Office Manager (CMOM)® certification exam.
The course covers a wide range of topics related to medical practice administration, including practice financial management, employment laws, revenue cycle management, staffing, and administration. Additionally, it provides updated information on risk sharing, enhancing the patient experience, navigating new payment models, and quality reporting. Expert guidance is offered on essential issues such as emergency preparedness, workplace violence, sexual harassment, discrimination, cyber threats, and the opioid crisis. Course materials include practical guidelines and examples to enhance decision-making and tactical skills.
Candidates interested in enrolling should have at least one year of experience working in medical practice. A free Medical Office Management Assessment is available to test your knowledge before enrollment.
The course is conducted remotely, with access to live instructor-led sessions. While live attendance is encouraged, it is not mandatory. Students will have the opportunity to access recorded lectures and receive instructor support for six months following the conclusion of the course.
